I bought my own PUSH present.
I had my baby, waited a little too long for my ‘special’ surprise, and decided I would just make it happen. I fancied a new, swanky pair of runners, so I got online a month or so after my first baby and ordered some, declaring to the walls (because that’s all I felt like I was looking at back then) that I would get right back on top of it and lose the baby weight.
Now here I am, 6 years later, 2 kids, and a few more pairs of runners down.
And FINALLY, I have lost a bit of that baby weight. But this time (after many, MANY attempts), I set myself a goal and dangled an amazing carrot in my sights in order to get across the line.
If I reached my goal weight (that magical number I plucked from random days before kids and chocolate donuts), I was going to get a PUSH OFF present. I desperately wanted to get my skinny fingers on this….
My gorgeous package (because even the unwrapping is an event) arrived the very day I slipped under that magical number.
Oh…except the divine team at Uberkate popped in a little more….
Just some matching earrings (if you don’t mind)…..
AND my very own personalised Love Line necklace….
My love affair is far from over and I am now facebook stalking them; keeping a sharp eye on the sales (which come with some great discounts from time to time). I am especially watching their incredible Ubercuffs; love that you can have a picture or a handwritten note that your child has created, engraved directly on to it.
I guess now I am feeling hugely obligated to keep that weight close to my magical number. Quite frankly, this is a terrific guilt trip.
A huge thanks to Uberkate and team: I am absolutely loving myself sick in my glamorous new get up.
